Jane Carter Launches $85,000 GoFundMe to Honor Aaron Carter With Walk of Fame Star

The mother of late pop star Aaron Carter is hoping to see her son honored with a posthumous star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

On Tuesday (April 14), Jane Carter launched a GoFundMe campaign aiming to raise $85,000 to make that tribute happen. She’s also the mother of Nick Carter.

Aaron, who rose to fame as a child pop sensation in the late ’90s and early 2000s, passed away in November 2022 at the age of 34. His death was ruled an accidental drowning in a bathtub, linked to the effects of difluoroethane and alprazolam.

On the fundraiser page, Jane highlighted his impact on music and television while explaining the goal behind the amount. “The funds will cover the creation, installation, and long-term maintenance of the star,” the description states. “We are coming together as fans, friends, and supporters to honor Aaron Carter’s legacy. Every donation, no matter the size, brings us one step closer.”

According to TMZ, she’s hoping to hit the target in time to submit an application and secure approval by May 15.

Jane, who also previously managed her son, shared that this recognition was something Aaron would have truly loved. She recalled visiting the Walk of Fame together in Los Angeles and telling him his name would one day be there—a dream he believed in too.

Elsewhere, Aaron’s former girlfriend Hilary Duff recently opened up about a unique experience, claiming she received a message from him through a psychic. During an episode of Las Culturistas with Matt Rogers and Bowen Yang, she said the conversation happened over the phone, and she initially kept her identity private.
