Kenneth Petty continues to battle Jennifer Hough in a years-long legal dispute over sexual assault allegations. He is still seeking to have the civil case against him dismissed. However, Nicki Minaj is no longer a defendant in the lawsuit.
According to an exclusive report from Grouchy Greg Watkins, Kenneth Petty and his legal team presented Hough’s alleged 1994 letter to a federal judge as part of their latest effort to get the civil suit thrown out. The Thursday (September 10) filing argues that the letter, which was allegedly written while Kenneth’s criminal case was pending, contradicts Hough’s current claims of sexual assault and emotional distress. Hough has reportedly said she does not know who authored or submitted the letter.
In the alleged letter, Hough reportedly asked for the charges against Petty to be dropped and described her 1994 rape allegations as “half true and half false.” She allegedly said she and Petty had a physical confrontation at his home after encountering each other at a bus stop. According to the alleged letter, she left after complying with his request to have sex with him, while also stating that the situation ultimately spiraled out of control. Hough also defended their friendship and reportedly wrote, “he’s not a rapist.”
Kenneth Petty argues that the alleged letter from Hough supports his claim that she is exaggerating her account in the current lawsuit. He has denied threatening Hough or sending others to intimidate her, while maintaining that their sexual encounters were consensual.
